MY HEMISPHERE:
New Resources for New OC3 Standards for Western Hemisphere Geography

Many of Oklahoma's teachers will be interested in accessing resources to address the changes in our state curriculum (Oklahoma C3 Standards, 2012) for the teaching of contemporary geography in 6th grade, with a focus on the western hemisphere. If you have developed resources and would like to post them on our website, please contact pam.merrill@edmondschools.net.

We appreciate your willingness to share!
In the meantime, enjoy these powerpoints recently donated for the educators of Oklahoma!

As Oklahoma's social studies educators progress toward full implementation of the Common Core Standards for Literacy, which are now a vital element of every grade level's C3 state curriculum standards, the state supervisor's association (OSSSA) offers the following sample lesson plans for teaching both the C3 content standards for Western Hemisphere Geography, while reinforcing Common Core Literacy Standards. Enjoy!
